At FaithCare Outreach, we believe that true leadership is not found in managing systems, but in responding to God’s call. For years, our lives in California were defined by what the world calls “success”—stable careers in public service and real estate, a comfortable home, and a clear path forward. Yet, we felt a persistent, quiet stirring that required something more than comfort. It required surrender.
Our journey began with a simple, yet terrifying, question: “What are we willing to give up to follow Him?”
The answer unfolded in the quiet spaces of our National Parks. Disconnected from the noise of daily life and cell signals, we began to truly listen. On one of those trips, in 2023, during a trip through Kentucky, we felt an immediate, undeniable sense of home. Through the kindness of strangers and a series of providential encounters, God made His direction clear.
To many, it looked “illogical” to resign from our jobs, sell our home, and move our family across the country to start a nonprofit we had no idea how to build. We didn’t know the first thing about medical missions, but we knew the One who was calling us. We moved not because we had the answers, but because we chose to trust His strength over our own abilities. Every step since has been a reminder that this ministry is for His glory, not ours.
Based in Woodburn, Kentucky, FaithCare Outreach exists to use medicine as a bridge to share the hope of the Gospel. We provide short-term medical, dental, and optical care with a specific philosophy:
